Season Finale at The Pipe Shop: Six Fridays on the Waterfront

Season Finale: Friday Night at The Pipe Shop — September 4, 2026
Here’s the thing nobody tells you about market season: the best night isn’t always the busiest one.
We closed out our summer run at The Pipe Shop on Friday, and for a long weekend it wasn’t a huge turnout — plenty busy in its own way, but not the wall of people you’d get on a regular summer Friday. It also turned into our best night of the season. Not by a little, either. Sometimes the room is a bit quieter and every single person in it is exactly the right person.
The Season From Here to There
It’s worth remembering where this run started. Back on July 24 we rolled into The Shipyards for the first market back after the site had been tied up hosting FIFA World Cup events. We’d been off for two months, we were trying a whole new booth layout, and setup ran long while we figured out where everything went. Six weeks later that layout is second nature and the table looks nothing like it did in July.
Along the way we launched the Wiggly Pups with 15 breeds, added their beds, debuted the Dungeon Crawler Carl bookmarks, brought in the full DCC cover series, and teased a 200% scale panic button to anyone who’d stand still long enough. That’s a decent haul for six Fridays on a waterfront.
The Unexpected Sales
Friday’s standout was our big bone dragon. It’s one of those pieces that turns heads at every market — a real showstopper, and a conversation starter every single time we set it out. On the last night of the season it finally met the person it was meant for, and watching someone fall for it that hard was a genuine highlight.
A few HueForge prints found their people too, hitting exactly right for a couple of shoppers. That’s the magic of in-person markets: the perfect piece and the perfect person just have to be in the same room at the same time.
The Wiggly Pups were popping all night too, capping off a summer where they went from brand new to one of the most reliable draws on our table.
The DCC Corner
The crawlers turned out one more time. A few picked up bookmarks, and plenty more stopped to admire the covers — which have settled into a clear pattern over the last three weeks. The big prints do the recruiting, pulling people over from across the aisle and starting the conversation. The bookmarks are what go home. We’ll take it. Every one of those conversations was worth having.
MEGA Clicker Update
It was on the table, and people loved it, exactly as they have every week since it appeared. Here’s the good news: the switches are now available for us to buy. We’ll be picking up a batch and printing MEGA clickers in a few popular designs for the holiday events. The tease is over — they’re coming.
Good Company
Second week in a row set up next to Amy Fitz Art, who is genuinely fantastic and made both nights better just by being there. Market friendships are one of the underrated perks of this job.
Friday brought a lot of new faces and not many repeats, which is a funny way to end a season — but a good sign for the summer’s reach. Plenty of people met us for the first time on the very last night.
Looking Ahead
That’s a wrap on The Pipe Shop for the summer. Thank you to everyone who came down to the waterfront on a Friday night, clicked a clicker, adopted a pup, or just stopped to chat. It’s been a genuinely great run. We’re back on November 7 & 8 for a special Holiday Event!
We’re taking a bit of time to travel and recharge, then we’re back for spooky season: Boo! Haunted Halloween Market on October 18 at the Croatian Cultural Centre. Come see what we’ve been building over the break — there will be MEGA clickers. Check out our full schedule on our events page, or browse all our 3D printed creations in our online shop!
