Cryptids, Clickers, and Christmas Cheer: Killarney Community Centre Holiday Market

Beginning setup at Killarney Community Centre Holiday Market

Evergreen Layers spent Saturday at the Killarney Community Centre Holiday Market, the venue’s first holiday market since COVID. While the crowd was smaller than vendors hoped for on this first event back, the guests who came were happy, friendly, and ready to check off their holiday shopping lists—quality over quantity made for a great day!

We managed to get set up super early, which gave us a rare chance to wander and check out the other vendors before doors opened. It’s always nice to actually see what everyone else is making when you’re not immediately swamped with customers!

What Sold Best

Clickers continued their dominance from our Carnarvon event, proving once again they’re the crowd favorites. Christmas-themed HueForge prints also flew off the table as shoppers looked for festive décor and unique gifts. The holiday designs with their vibrant gradient colors always catch the eye and spark conversations about the printing process.

Community Connections at Killarney Community Centre Holiday Market

One of the best parts of the day? SEVERAL repeat customers stopped by—we always love seeing familiar faces return! A particular highlight was meeting a young boy who’s really into Cryptids and was thrilled that we had some in stock. When a product connects with someone’s specific interests like that, it makes the whole day worthwhile.

We also connected with some fantastic vendor neighbors. Attitude Candle set up next to us with her candles and “candle alternatives” (they’re sarcastic mugs) for those not into traditional candles. We met VanCityCraftCo, a fellow 3D printer and handmade crafter—always great to connect with others in the maker community! And special thanks to Cookies & Company for the delicious cookies that saved us after we forgot to pack lunch and snacks.

Looking Ahead

Next up, we’re heading back to Heritage Hall for a 2-day Fall/Winter Popup event December 6 & 7. If you missed us at the Killarney Community Centre Holiday Market, check out our full schedule of upcoming events on our events page, or browse all our 3D printed creations in our online shop!
