Carnarvon Elementary Winter Holiday Market – November 27, 2024
Evergreen Layers headed to Carnarvon Elementary in Vancouver’s popular Kitsilano neighborhood last night for their Winter Holiday Market, and wow—what an evening! This short 2.5-hour event, running until 7pm, packed more energy and excitement into a Thursday night than we could have imagined.
We arrived a bit later than planned and modified our setup for a faster install, but it turned out we needed every minute of prep time. The place was absolutely packed before doors even opened, with kids and families everywhere, and the momentum didn’t stop until closing time at 7pm. Everyone brought festive, patient energy even when we fell behind ringing up orders—the holiday spirit was definitely in full swing!
What Sold Best
OMG clickers. So. Many. Clickers. We sold every variety we had, but our Big Red Button and “6 7” clickers were the absolute stars of the night. The “6 7” clickers elicited tons of excitement, with kids immediately doing the iconic Grinch move when they saw them. There’s something magical about a product that gets an instant physical reaction!
Community Connections
We spotted a couple of return customers in the crowd, which always makes us smile. Several parents shared that a 3D printer or an upgrade was on their kids’ Santa list this year—love hearing that we might be inspiring the next generation of makers! Unfortunately, we were too busy to connect much with other vendors, but the nonstop customer interactions more than made up for it.
Looking Ahead
Carnarvon Elementary brought the festive energy in a big way, and we’re riding that momentum straight into tomorrow!
